Roof Repair Smedway built its Roofing division around one idea: homeowners in Oxford deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across Oxford, OH, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
Licensing and insurance aren't a line item we mention once and forget — we keep documentation current and available on request, because a homeowner signing off on a Roofing project deserves proof, not a promise.
A patched flashing that leaks again in eighteen months costs a homeowner more than the first repair ever saved. That's why our Roofing crews follow manufacturer specs on every nail pattern and every underlayment overlap, not just the visible parts.
Bonded, insured, and ready to show proof on the spot.
Emergency lines stay staffed through nights, weekends, and holidays.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Technicians dispatched from within Oxford, OH, not flown in from another region.
A roof rarely fails all at once. It sends smaller signals first, and catching them early is almost always cheaper than waiting for the emergency call.
If your downspout discharge looks like sand, the UV-protective coating on your shingles is breaking down faster than it should.
Shingle edges that curl upward have usually lost flexibility, which makes them far more likely to crack or blow off in the next storm.
Climb into the attic on a sunny day — if you see pinpricks of daylight, water can get through the same gaps.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
Poor roof ventilation or compromised insulation from a slow leak can quietly push cooling costs up month over month.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
Active leaks after a storm get a same-day response whenever it's physically possible — a temporary tarp-down first, a permanent fix scheduled right behind it.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
Commercial roofs carry different loads and different membrane systems than residential shingles, and our crews are trained on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen accordingly.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
Specialized repairs cover ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and low-slope transitions that standard shingle crews sometimes overlook.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Oxford, OH.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Crews dispatched from within Oxford, OH reach most Oxford calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
Storm-damage jobs come with photo documentation formatted for insurance adjusters, saving homeowners a step in the claims process.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
We put our workmanship guarantee in writing on every job, so if something about the completed work doesn't match what was agreed, we send a crew back at no extra charge.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
We keep multiple crews staged across Oxford, OH so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Oxford waiting.
If a storm system moves through Oxford, OH and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
